Signature in BCM process

Hello All,
We are running the SAP Bank Communication Management process with the digital signature.
The question I have is the following:
Through the approval process, the payment medium is generated, which is eventually sent to the bank.
But where is the signature included? Where can we see the signed document?
We only see the payment medium but no document with the signatures of the approvers.
Thanks in advance and best regards,
SAP Junior

    Hi SAP Junior,
I'm not sure if you might have misunderstood something.
    My understanding:
    1) The file is transferred to the bank signed >> this means that the actual file is provided with a signature by the SAP system. Before that, the corresponding certificate has to be imported into SAP. After the payment has been approved by the last approver, the payment medium is created. This is automatically supplemented with a digital signature from the SAP system. This ensures that the file is not changed on its way to the bank, and that the content that arrives at the bank is exactly as it was generated in the sending SAP system.
    2) The signature you describe here is the "release" of the releasers. This is recorded in the BCM log for the payment batch, but is not included in the actual file/payment medium. The bank assumes that the files it receives have gone through the appropriate release stages in the upstream system.
Does this apply to your question?

    Hello Manuel,
Thank you very much for your answer.
Yes, I think your answer fits my question.
It means that the bank only receives the payment medium file but no document with a signature.
But how does the bank handle it if I bypass the BCM process by sending a payment medium file directly to the bank?
The bank does not recognize the difference.
Via OBPM5 I define the prefix for the ID, for example, which then runs into the BCM.
All payment runs that are not generated with the predefined ID will bypass the BCM, but a file will still be generated.
What I want to say is that I have to set somewhere in SAP that all payments that for example do not have the ID
PR.... are not allowed to be sent, because they do not run into BCM.
The bank must be able to check somewhere if the file comes from the approvers.
    Many greetings,

    Hello SAP Junior,
    how is the signature implemented?
I know so far only the possibility of the MD5 checksum as a bracket around the file.
This checksum must of course be sent to the bank in a second way.

    Hello AnWo,
we only do the signature via the digital signature in BCM. that's all we do right now.
Do we need to set anything more for this to work?
    Many greetings,

    Hello SAP Junior,
that is correct, the bank does not receive a "signature file". When the account is opened at the bank, the responsible person must also specify that the account is "armed" for automatic file transfer. This is then a setting at the bank in the backend to the account. This way they assume that all files they receive have already been authorized in the previous system.
You can't just send a file to the bank like that. If you have a XI/PI for the transfer, you can add a check to the PI, that it checks if there is a payment batch for the file in the upload folder, for which no file has been sent yet (to block self/manually inserted or duplicate payment files). But then we are very much in the details and also no longer in the standard.

    Hello Manuel,
the description is completely sufficient for me. This is exactly how it would work for us.
Thus we are on the correct way.
Thank you very much and best regards,
