Enhanced Split of Cost of Goods Sold:
Profitability Analysis has been refined to reflect the standard cost component split on the G/L account and to distinguish fixed and variable values. COGS Splitting customizing has been renewed: While existing COGS refinement functionality is still available, enhanced account based COGS split can also be switched on. Prerequisites for account based COGS Split
Create GL accounts for COGS (type 1) and detailed COGS (e.g. COGS material, COGS labor etc.)
Set up account determination for material movements by specifying transaction keys BSX (to determine the inventory account) and GBB (to determine the COGS/inventory change account)
Opting for the account based Split, requires to clean the account determination from material management. Otherwise, it might come to a split in processes, which do not require a COGS split.
Set up customizing for the refinement of COGS.
Ensure that the costing run is executed and prices in the material master are up to date.
Enhanced COGS Split supports standard cost estimate split. Actual COGS split is not yet supported.
Enhanced COGS Split does not allow the analysis of several COGS splits in parallel
